MORE POSING - 34 DAYS AND 27 DAYS OUT

After trying and trying to figure out how to flex my back muscles... I think I finally got it down. But I still need days and days of practicing on those 5 inch stilletos. So would it be weird to walk around the mall in them???? KIDDING!

But posing parties will be had the next few weekends. That should be a good laugh for my friends. So I am going to share the latest pictures. I hope by sharing these on line first, that it will start to ease my fear of being on stage. Because at this point I am still thinking they are going to have to say, "will number 42 please take off your bathrobe, this IS a figure competition..." (Maybe a glass of wine before I go on could help;)

So here are the newest photos.
Laura seems to think there is a difference all around between the two sessions, but the only real difference I see is in my back. Ok, I am actually going to admit.... watching my muscles develop has been very cool. I am actually excited to spend the day at the Westin Resort pool tomorrow... and I never feel that way during bathing suit season. Guess forgoing that wine and cake has some rewards....

Thanks for checking in. Much love ~ Peace ~ xxoo

So here are all the poses. The first is 34 days out and the second is 27 days...

TWENTY SIX DAYS OUT

Ok... so now its getting down to the days and I am not sure if I actually have legs left anymore. I am pretty sure where there were legs, there are now heavy poles of lead, or at least that is what it feels like. I know that I can make it 25 more days...

As you know my biggest temptation is wine and cake of any sort. Well this weekend I did not just attend one party, but THREE! Two baby showers and a graduation party. I made it, but as you can see from the picture, I almost lost it. I could tell you exactly how THAT cake smelled though. I think I must have stopped by it a few hundred times during the party just to let the aroma of butter and sugar and yumminess linger in my nose. Oh and it was AWESOME watching all my friends enjoy glass after glass of mimosas and bloody marys.

At this point I think I have invited myself to at least a dozen of my friend's homes for dinner after the competition. A real homemade Italian meal, homemade tamales from another, and don't forget the coconut cupcakes from Maryann (who made the ever so tempting cake below). Looks like I better quickly find my next event to train for, or all this hard work will quickly fade.
HALF MARATHON ANYONE????? I think that will be my next event, unless my Volunteer trip to Tanzania pans out and then I will be training for my trek up Mt. Kilimanjaro. Again, any interested parties?

Keep praying for me and sending me the "you can do this" vibe. 25 days tomorrow left to go, and I need all the encouragement I can get. Come day 15.... and its all super psycho diet and the real count down to get show ready. Thanks again for your support! Much love!

Peace ~ xxoo

So maybe I am "too lazy to blog"

Well, with a little less than 5 weeks left to go on my journey to my first figure show, I guess it is time to post some pictures... and although I know there is so much to tell, its 11:55 at night and I am way to tired to try and tell you all about the last 9 weeks of my training life. I will be back to post more in the next few days... i promise.. but in order for me to receive my last batch of photos from today, I promised Laura I would update my blog...

so Laura, here it is.

The one thing I will say is this... It has been a very exciting journey. I didn't know I could have it in me. The diet is hard, but so worth the results and now it is actually easy and really a new way of life. The training has been intense, but also well worth the results. It has helped me in the realization that we all have more power than we believe and we are capable of so much when we put our minds to it. I am enjoying every moment, but Heck YEAH, I am looking forward to that sprinkles cupcake and cold glass of Kim Crawford Sav Blanc on June 29th!

Those of you who really know me, know that sending these out is a little over the top for me, but after all the hard work, I figure, why not share. Hope you enjoy them... more to come as the weeks get closer! Again, to everyone, THANK YOU for all the support, it makes everyday more bearable. I am grateful for everyone that continues to encourage me!

13 weeks out:

6 Weeks out:

5 weeks out:

Tonight I was lucky enough to finally have my new 5" acrylic heels to practice posing in... those pics to be added soon. Let's just pray I do not pull a Carrie Bradshaw and go flying across the stage for my grand entrance! Goodnight!

PS. 9 1/2 weeks out and I am still surviving without wine and sugar! I give all of my pregnant friends many kudos for going 9 months!

I think I just committed!

My first day as a possible Figure Competitor and I am not only sitting here drinking my sugar and SOY cream drenched coffee, but I skipped out on bootcamp, and have YET to go for my morning run (which I hung up the phone with JZ 20 minutes ago for). Go FIGURE!! However, I did manage to get to bed last night without gorging myself with Black Licorice or piling in a pint of soy ice cream. That is a start. And Momma and I only had ONE glass of wine AT the figure show last night. (Did I mention that it was in a nice sized plastic party cup... that she so kindly filled to the TOP.. way to go sista!) Obviously after my nice wine buzz I was super ready to get started on this figure show mission, even did a few poses in the mirror before I got into bed (starving I might mention!)! Did I just admit to posing out loud, YIKES! Well, now I am really going to go for my run. Although Josh DID say I have another week before I get serious, I guess it doesn’t really make sense to turn back now..... I am going to need a lot of moral support, no temptation with wine and cupcakes and the best part is..... MOMMA WILL NOT BE DRINKING WINE WITH ME.... what a TRUE friend! Way to go Momma! I will be keeping you posted of the trials and tribulations of preparing for a first time figure show from the view point of a sugar addict, wine lover and commitment phoebe... but hopefully with the help of an AMAZING trainer, a gym full of people who are as crazy as I am, and the love of my family and friends (who although WILL think I am CRAZY..... will hopefully just continue to support me, even when they DO want me to drink wine and stay up all night!) Wish me luck and DON'T let me back out!
More later. Pictures to be included when I really start to lose it and have NO fear....
